8 points you should consider when
buying an investment apartment

  • THE LOCATION
A good infrastructure guarantees sustainable rental interest in an apartment. This means: the apartment should have good transport connections and the quality of life in the surrounding area should be high.
  • THE SIZE
The size of an apartment should be aligned with the largest rental market. This means that you should match the highest demand. For a 2 room apartment this lies between 40 and 55 m² and for 3 room apartments, up to 70m² of living space.
  • GOOD GROUND PLAN
A compact room layout, geared to the needs of your tenants, is also a success criterion for investment apartments. Those that take this into account at the planning stage will ensure satisfied long-term tenants and sustainable additional income.
  • QUALITY
An apartment that provides a high level of building quality and equipment levels is also easier to rent out. Under floor heating, solid wood flooring, modern fitted kitchens and designer bathrooms are a guarantee for sustainable and ongoing revenue.
  • FORWARD LOOKING CONSTRUCTION
Energy efficiency is not only important from an environmental point of view, but also for future tenants. Modern, low energy standards and construction mostly of brick, means a better indoor climate at lower energy costs and higher levels of tenant satisfaction. Your investment apartment thus remains in demand.
  • PROVIDER CHECK
Such important financial decisions should only be undertaken with specialists with years of experience and high professional competence. An investment apartment is a long-term project and is to create lasting residual income. Therefore, ask yourself these questions: Will this provider even exist in 20 years’ time? And will they accept work from me? RAAB & RAAB is the oldest supplier in Austria with a company structure that has for decades, in-house, attended to the needs and activities of our satisfied customers.

In doing so, only paying for those construction phases that have already been completed.
